Purina® Hydration Hay™ ORIGINAL Horse Hay Block is a premium blend of quality grass and alfalfa hay that has been compressed into a convenient, lightweight block. Simply drop the block into a bucket of water and it will quickly expand into about one flake of palatable, moist hay. Recommended for all horses at all life stages.

Sun-cured Chopped Grass Hay (Timothy and Orchardgrass), Sun-cured Chopped Alfalfa, Vegetable Oil.
Feeding Directions
Purina® Hydration Hay™ ORIGINAL Horse Hay Blocks can be fed dry or soaked in water.
Soaking directions:
Place one 2-lb Purina® Hydration Hay™ ORIGINAL Horse Hay Block in a large bucket. Add a minimum of 5 quarts of water. Allow product to absorb water prior to feeding (approximately 10 minutes). To facilitate more uniform absorption, flip the hay block halfway through soaking time. Additional mixing by hand may further accelerate water absorption.
Designed to replace a portion or all of the forage in a horse’s diet. Replace forage on a 1:1 ratio. Each 2 lbs of dry hay can be replaced with one 2-lb dry Purina® Hydration Hay™ ORIGINAL Horse Hay Block.
If replacing all forage in a horse’s diet, be sure to feed at a minimum rate of 1.0 to 1.2% of body weight (10-12 lbs/ 5-6 blocks for a 1,000 lb horse) with 2.0% of body weight preferred. Inadequate amounts of forage may lead to colic and other digestive disturbances.
